So tweet

I am playing in the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers today, and the site is Replacements, Ltd. I happen to have my crystal registered there as I forgot the name of it. Yes ... it is true! Here is my crystal in case anyone might know it. And, my dishes are there as well. I picked my dishes out some 49 years ago, when, it was custom to do so. Thankfully, I still like them today. So, for my card, I used my own dishes for my inspiration.
My poor bird CC had a night fright, and hurt her wing just 2 days after having them clipped. So back to the vet we went, and she is now on cage rest. I thought this was a good opportunity to make my vet a thank you card.
I stamped images from the Beautiful Day set, and as I knew it would not be a circle shape, I offset the stamping so one would not think it was a wreath that went array. 😃 I used my Misti to stamp using the Ranger Archival Vivid Chartreuse on Ranger watercolour paper. I then proceeded to watercolour using my Zig Clean Colour brushes taking the colours from my dishes. Once I was finished with the colouring I die cut the panel using the stitched rectangle die. I then stamped the birdie image and coloured, again using my Zigs then fussy cut her. She is not a cockatiel, which CC is, but I painted her to resemble my bird. I added fun foam to the back of my panel, then attaching the turquoise matting, and my card base. I decided where I wanted the bird, and stamped in a branch, colouring with a brown Zig, then styled and attached the bird on a foam dot. I stamped the hearts and the sentiment using the pink and blue from the Ranger line of inks, and coloured the larger of the hearts in the pink Zig. A few sequins finished my card.
I hope you enjoy this card and thank you for visiting today.
