Happy Thoughts

When I started to make cards way back when, I used only dies. Stamping was out for me as I messed up more often than not. Misti changed all of that, and now I am happy to say I am a stamper too.
But for this card I strayed back to my roots, i.e. a lot of detail and a lot on the card.
I started this by stamping the frame on Ranger watercolour paper and heat embossing in gold. I then painted in the frame with gold paint.
Once that was done, I painted in the rope with dark blue Zig brushes, then started to stamp the images, starting with the butterflies in Ranger Archival Inks in Manganese Blue.
For the flowers I stamped using Ranger Archival in Cobalt Blue. In my mini Misti I stamped the other flowers, and began the watercolouring of all the pieces using several Zig brushes in the blues.
I attached the panel to my card base, fussy cut the flowers, styled and attached to the panel, using foam dots. I added a few more leaves to my layout to complete the arrangement, then put the card back in my mini Misti and stamped the sentiment using gold embossing powder.
It was a time consuming process, but fun to do for a change. I hope you enjoy this card too.
Thank you for visiting.
