just for you

This had to be the most difficult photo I have ever taken. I think the mix of the purples and the gold had something to do with this. It probably took me an hour to finally settle on this picture, and it does not do my card any justice. To spend further time would be of no benefit, so I have had to settle on this one.

To start this card, I stamped the images from the set that I wanted to use in versamark embossing ink and heat set with gold embossing powder. I wanted the smaller of the flowers as I would be using this frame die, and I also wanted room for my sentiment to be within the frame. I proceeded to watercolour the flower using Zig brushes in the purple shades, and the leaves using May green, doing this in layers until the colour I wanted was achieved. As I do not have the die set (out of stock when I ordered), I fussy cut the images, but I have listed the dies below for you. Once I finished fussy cutting, I went around all the edges with my Wink of Stella pen in gold, as I do not like to see any white! 😊 I die cut a smaller panel using the stitched rectangles, which I attached using foam tape. I then die cut the frame from gold metallic card stock and attached on foam dots, then arranged the flower and leaves so I could stamp the sentiment.
This sentiment is from a very old set by Stampendous called Sunny Flowers. I love this set, it is one of those keepers.
I don't know if it is available anywhere, but this is what it looks like should you care to have a look for it. For my purposes I could not locate it at any of the stores I shop. For my card, I stamped this "just for you" sentiment using the Ranger ink in Majestic Violet.
I then proceeded to style the flower and leaves, attaching around the frame using foam dots and ranger multi-medium glue, and to finish, a few sequins.
Thanks so much for visiting today. I hope you enjoy this card.

Beautifully Zig colored heat eb flower spray for your pretty frame, Kia. Your photo looks beautiful, but I know how disappointing it can be when a photo does not show the true beauty of a card. Still...your card is gorgeous. TFS Hugs..
